Relocation support · Stockholm · Skåne

Relocation support in Sweden,
in the right order.

From personnummer and the next steps towards BankID to a housing plan and a school place, I offer personal support for individuals, families and returning Swedes.

Planning a relocation to Sweden? I help you put the practical pieces in a sensible order before they become urgent.

The part nobody warns you about

The rules are online.
The order is not.

  • Without the right identity route, many digital routines — including access to BankID — can take longer.
  • Landlords and banks set their own documentation and income requirements, which can be difficult to meet before you have arrived.
  • Housing queues, school applications and registration processes all work to different timings.
  • Government websites explain individual processes, but not always how they connect in a real move.

I help you make a realistic plan, prepare the right questions and work through the practical steps without assuming that every route is the same.

What it includes

What does relocation support
in Sweden include?

The support is shaped around your move rather than a fixed checklist. We start with what is already decided, what needs an official answer and what can be prepared now.

01 · The practical order

A calm plan for registration preparation, documents, arrival timing and the questions that belong with the relevant authority or bank.

02 · Home and area choice

A realistic housing and area strategy, with Home Finding when the move calls for a defined search on the ground.

03 · Families and everyday life

School planning, household decisions and the local routines that make a move work for more than one person.

04 · Returning to Sweden

A practical reset for Swedes and families returning after time abroad, when familiar systems no longer feel automatic.

How it works

Clear support,
one step at a time.

The starting point is always your real move: your route, timing, household and the support that will make the most difference.

Returning to Sweden

Moving back to Sweden?

After years abroad, Sweden can feel both familiar and foreign. Systems have changed, your personnummer may need reactivating and housing works differently than you remember. I moved back myself in 2023 after around 25 years abroad, and I help returning Swedes and their families settle back in with less friction.

Employer-funded moves

Your employer can cover the cost.

Your employer can arrange or fund a defined scope. I work directly with you or your family on the practical and cultural side of settling in: housing, registration preparation, school and everyday life.

Frequently asked

A few practical
questions first.

Every move is different. These answers explain the scope of my support and where the decision sits with an authority or specialist.

What kind of advice do you give?

I provide practical relocation guidance, not legal, tax or immigration advice. Decisions remain with the relevant authority, bank, landlord or school. I can help you prepare, understand the sequence of practical steps and find the appropriate official information or specialist support when you need it.

Do you handle work or residence permits?

I am not an immigration lawyer and I do not submit or assess permit applications. I can help you prepare practically for the move, understand the sequence of next steps and find the appropriate official information or specialist support when you need it.

What changes if I am an EU or non-EU citizen?

Your residence route, documents and timing can be different. I can help you plan the practical move around your route, but the relevant authorities decide eligibility and requirements. Sweden Decoded is a useful first overview before a tailored conversation.

Which areas do you cover?

Relocation support covers Sweden only: Stockholm and Skåne.

When should I contact you?

As soon as you have a likely move window is ideal: it gives us more time for housing research, school planning and document preparation. You can also get in touch once you have arrived and need help finding your next step.

Do you support families and trailing partners?

Yes. I work with the person moving and, where useful, their partner and family. The aim is a move that works in everyday life — not just on paper.

Can my employer arrange or fund the support?

Yes. Your employer can arrange or fund a defined scope, while I work directly with you or your family on the practical and cultural side of settling in. Terms are agreed in writing before work starts.
