A few practical
questions first.
Every home search is different. These answers explain the scope of my support and what needs to be confirmed with a landlord, authority or specialist.
I have lived abroad for a long time. What happens to my personnummer when I move back?
If you already have a Swedish personal identity number, you keep the same number for life, including after time abroad. If you are returning to Sweden to live for at least a year, you normally notify Skatteverket so you can be registered in the Population Register again. The route and documents depend on your circumstances, so plan early rather than relying on a fixed timetable.
Do I need a personnummer to rent a home in Sweden?
Not always, but it makes the search easier. Many landlords ask for a personal identity number, a credit check or proof of income. Without one, the route is usually through private landlords or second-hand rentals, and I help you prepare the documents that build trust.
Do you work in Stockholm and Skåne?
Yes, both. I am based in Skåne and grew up in Stockholm. Other parts of Sweden may be possible on request.
